Tarago Preschool
As an integral cornerstone of the Tarago community, Tarago Preschool has always been about more than just education. It is a place where the young minds of our future are nurtured, cared for, and moulded through a unique learning program rooted in EYLF Outcomes 2.0. Our philosophy aligns strongly with these outcomes, focusing on development of children’s social competence, heightened language skills, numerical literacy, creative arts, and fostering a love for stories and books.
Running from 8:30am to 4pm during school terms, we serve a diverse group of 19 children, aged from 18 months to 6 years. Our doors open to the promise of a new day filled with learning experiences designed to stimulate curiosity, creativity and a lifelong love for learning. Our highly qualified team of educators curate these experiences, crafting a nurturing and stimulating environment for all our students.
We understand the importance of preparing children for their imminent entry into formal schooling. Thus, our preschool program is fortified with a school-readiness program, ensuring a smooth transition for our children into the local primary school.
Our love for learning isn’t confined to the four walls of our preschool. Our community-centric approach extends well beyond our classrooms, into the beautiful outdoors and wider community. Regular visits from the Goulburn Mulwaree Library Rhyme Time program, incursions, and nature walks in our community are just some of the ways in which we involve our wider community, epitomizing the EYLF outcome for children to become active contributors to the world.
We ardently believe in fostering strong links between our preschool and families. We acknowledge and appreciate the invaluable role parents play in shaping their children’s learning. Our management committee, made up of elected community representatives, work closely with our educators to make key decisions about staffing, finances and policy. Parental and community involvement in policy development, daily activities, and excursions is always encouraged.
