Learning Through Play

At Tarago Preschool, we believe children learn best when they are actively involved, curious and having fun. Our program is play-based and designed to support children across all areas of their development.

Emergent Curriculum

Our Emergent Curriculum allows children's interests, ideas, questions and experiences to help shape our program. Educators observe children, listen to their ideas and use this information to plan meaningful learning experiences.

Early Years Learning Framework

Our program is guided by the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF), supporting children to learn, grow and develop through play, relationships and meaningful experiences. The five learning outcomes guide our educators in supporting each child's individual learning, development and wellbeing.

School Readiness

School readiness is an important part of our program. We support children to develop independence, confidence, communication, social skills, problem-solving skills and the ability to participate in group experiences and routines.

Learning Beyond the Preschool

We believe learning doesn't stop at the preschool gate. Through community experiences, nature walks, library visits,school visits incursions and time spent exploring our local environment, children are encouraged to connect with the world around them and discover that learning can happen anywhere.
